Nestled in the heart of Melbourne CBD, Kirk’s Wine Bar offers an elegant European setting with Parisian-style outdoor seating and cosy indoor space with floor-to-ceiling windows. Breakfast is available until midday, with croque monsieur and smoked salmon on potato blini accompanied by sunny-side up eggs.
The menu features an all Australian wine list with wines by the glass, carafe or bottle as well as two sparkling wines on tap. There are also three beers on offer plus some tasty cocktails for those who prefer something stronger!
Kirk’s has a range of imported cheeses, house-made charcuterie and fresh oysters. They also have the delightfully creamy burrata with charred leeks, walnuts and smoked honey. The space is small so it is best suited for twos or threes, but they offer outdoor seating in the summer.
Kirk’s Wine Bar, is located in Melbourne CBD and was once home to Kirk’s Bazaar Hotel – one of Melbourne earliest pubs. The project is a joint partnership between Ian Curley (long-time executive chef of The European) and co-owners Con Christopoulos and Josh Brisbane.
The space is cosy but can accommodate up to 12 people. There will also be an adjoining shopfront that offers ready-made meals, takeaway lunches and organic cold-pressed juices too!
