Feast of Merit is a Melbourne institution, serving delicious Middle Eastern and Southern Mediterranean inspired food and drinks in a venue that reflects the communal nature of the area. Coupled with an intimate rooftop area and private events space, Feast of Merit comes together to provide an unparalleled dining experience. Our prominent external street art, created by Dan Wenn, and beautiful internal gardens designed by Jenna Holmes (aka. Plant Mama) only add to the allure.
This exclusive rooftop is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and can accommodate up to 45 guests for a seated event or 55 guests for a stand-up cocktail event. The total privacy of this space will make you feel like you’re worlds away from the busy streets below.
The venue can be used for private events, such as weddings, corporate events and birthday parties, or for public events such as concerts and food festivals. The entire space is wet-weather proof, with a large retractable roof that will be opened or closed depending on the weather. And with ample heating for winter, and large industrial cooling fans for summer, the rooftop is available to use all year round.
The menu celebrates the best of Nagaland cuisine, with traditional dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Feast of Merit is a unique opportunity to experience the best of Malawian and international cuisine, all while helping to support education and leadership projects in some of the poorest countries in the world. All proceeds from Feast of Merit will go towards supporting YGAP’s work with youth in some of the poorest parts of the world.
Run by head chef Ravi Presser (formerly of Kinfolk, Cumulus and Circa), the menu focuses on vegetarian-friendly raw foods and grains, as well as sustainably produced meats. The atmosphere is fun and funky, with an open kitchen that allows guests to watch the chefs at work.
Massive salads are packed with delicious ingredients like roasted Dutch carrots, mint, pistachio, freekeh, harissa and preserved lemon. And you can always add a bit of extra protein with our roasted Milawa chicken. Whether you`re looking for a healthy meal or just a tasty snack, our salads will leave you feeling satisfied and happy.
This vegetarian restaurant features an all-vegetarian menu with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. The best part? It’s not just a boring health food joint – there’s also a rooftop bar serving up local beers and wines.
When Elena Critchley and Ewert Leaf were approached to help with the conversion of a rundown café in Richmond into a flagship for the charity Feast of Merit, they leapt at the chance. The project was a great opportunity to use their skills for a good cause, and the results are spectacular.
The new café is bright, airy and welcoming, with an inviting interior that reflects the Feast of Merit brand. Thanks to their hard work, this busy little cafe is now helping to support disadvantaged young people in Melbourne. So if you’re looking for a delicious meal that also does some good in the world, head on over to Feast of Merit Melbourne!
