The Hof Downtown is a German beer hall and restaurant in the Docklands area of Melbourne. It is sister outlet to the hugely popular Hofbrauhaus on Market Lane, and offers an all-new age of Bavarian cuisine which you have never seen before. The menu features all-time favourites as well as modern twists on traditional Bavarian dishes. The bar has an extensive range of beers on tap, including Hofbrauhaus’ own signature brews, and the restaurant has a large selection of wines from around the world.

The Hof Downtown is a Bavarian Bierhall with a modern touch. Serving up a huge range of imported Bavarian boutique Biers and wines from Australia and Europe, they have something for everyone. Their food menu contains the all time Bavarian favourites such as Schnitzel, sausages and of course, the famous pork knuckle. Besides that, they serve a new style of Bavarian cuisine with their Häppchen – small delicious bites with a Bavarian twist, great to share!

The Docklands bar is situated just across the road from Marvel Stadium, and a short walk from Southern Cross Station, we have plenty of room for diners here at The Hof Downtown.

There are 10 German beers on tap, catering for all sizes of appetite. From the dinner menu, you could, for example, select roasted bone marrow served with olive oil and sea salt ($16.50) or slow braised ox cheek served on parmesan polenta ($25.50) from the ‘small/medium’ section of the menu. As you might expect, the famed 1.5kg roast pork knuckle is also on offer – just make sure you’re hungry!
