Paradise Alley is the perfect place to enjoy a drink. The owner, Laura Twomey (ex City Wine Shop) has created a lively and engaging environment that`s popular for all of Fitzroy and Collingwood. The Death Touch is an example of a house concoction that’s easy to whip up quickly as needed. It’s made from vodka, passionfruit syrup and fresh lime juice with soda water on ice. Give this quirky little place a visit if you’re looking for something different!
The venue includes a microbrewery, deli, art gallery, motorbike shop and now also hosts Melbourne’s only 150-seater public bar and pool hall. This massive open space has polished concrete floors, original stained glass windows and exposed brick walls along with eclectic furniture. A separate courtyard doubles as a 35-seater beer garden perfect for socialising on sunny days or catching up with friends over dinner in the evening.
They have tasty dishes you can order from the bar, including chipotle pork or smoked duck tacos topped with charred pineapple, lamb ribs and grilled whole fish. The bar also hosts weekly charity meat raffles and regular wine tastings. For food they’re collaborating with neighbour Little Latin Lucy who serves up Latin American street food with a Californian twist. Paradise alley is open for lunch on weekdays until late night every day except Mondays when it closes at midnight.
Paradise Alley is a collection of recycled furniture working harmoniously next to a grand, custom built wooden bar. Its natural charisma makes it so effortlessly cool. Located in the heart of Collingwood, this unique space offers something for everyone with an outside area, a smoking alley and pool room as well as plenty of seating inside. The venue can be hired out for private functions or just to come relax after work!
