The Brunswick Mess Hall is the latest meeting place for those hungry for a treat right on Sydney Road. Inside, the philosophy is about shared experiences. For a start, there’s a time-honoured summer punch and craft beer poured into mugs so huge that revellers won’t need to refill for some time.
The menu features fresh ingredients cooked in front of diners by chef Alana Borowiec who has turned her hand to everything from meatballs to pie with equal success & even Uber Eats. A beautiful green bar offers an expansive banquet table where groups can order individual dishes or share platters of pizza, mussels or ribs by weight, while signature cocktails are served at the bar in elegant stemware.
The Brunswick Mess Hall is a restaurant and bar just north of Melbourne’s CBD. The building has been around for over 100 years, but it’s never looked better with its new animal-themed décor. You’ll find that there are subtle hints of animals throughout the space–from the floor tiles to the light fixtures. It doesn’t feel like you’re just walking into any old eatery; instead, it feels like you’ve gone on an adventure!
The Brunswick Mess Hall Restaurant and Bar offers a variety of spaces for weddings & events. Located in the heritage-listed Masonic hall, resembling an upside-down arc, it’s broken up into private dining and function areas, Brunswick’s first beer hall and a glowing emerald bar and cocktail area.
The Atrium, holding 20-60 guests, has birdcages and greenery contrasting raw brick walls. It’s great for intimate dinners or cocktail parties with friends. The Birdcage Room holds up to 160 guests and comes with bars on both sides for easy access to drinks while mingling.
If you’re looking to host an intimate gathering between 26-35 people, then the Cheetah’s Den is perfect for you! You can even rent out just one side of the room if that suits your needs better. The Brunswick Mess Hall has something to suit any occasion.
