It has been aged for at least 16 years in American oak bourbon barrels and bottled without chill-filtering, meaning it retains its smoky flavor as well as some color from those charred barrel staves. The name “A’Bunadh” comes from Gaelic and means “from the original ovens.”

Its named after an island region in Scotland where many distilleries are located. This blend is made from whiskies distilled on Jura, Skye and Orkney Islands and more than one malt or grain can be used in the process of making this whisky.
